Masculine and Feminine
Masculine and feminine energies are meant to be in harmonious balance. Just as it is with anything when the pendulum swings too far and an imbalance occurs things don’t function so well. I believe that there is a global shift occurring that is demanding a rise in feminine energy to restore the balance.
We live in a world that has been dictated by masculine standards and values for a very long time. So much so, that to some extent, we may not even question some of what comes with that. So let’s take a look at what is masculine, what is feminine, and how it impacts you and your business as a female entrepreneur.
First, let’s talk about the masculine energies, approach, and values.
Masculine energy is about drive, doing, providing, protecting, and linearity. I do this, I get this, and the result is this. There is a strength from power, force, and muscle. It leads us to asipirse, evolve, improve. Based on this structure, we plant towards and evaluate ourselves based on achievements like career, status, relationships, family, and money.
Feminine energy is about receiving, being, creating, wholeness, nurturing and nourishing, and intuition. Feminine strength comes from presence, patience, kindness, and divine timing. There is a transformative and cyclical nature to feminine energy. Everything has it place and it’s season.
Each of these, when out of balance or misconstrued has its negative side.
The masculine when out of balance looks like excessive physical force, violence, abuse, war; action without reason where the means justify the ends; chasing achievement after achievement without fulfillment, satisfaction, or joy.
Feminine energy when out of whack becomes frail, competitive, controlling, needy, and cutting. Women undermining other women; micromanaging and judging every move, a lá helicopter moms, and straight-up mean girls (aka c*nty-biotches)!
It is in everyone’s best interest for these energies to be harmoniously in balance.
So, where do we start?
First, become an observer. Begin to recognize when and where you are functioning from masculine or feminine energy. Anyone can function from either masculine or feminine energy. There are times when certain energies may be useful or beneficial. But you may also be relying on one way of relating simply because it’s what you know and what you’ve learned.
Then, get curious. Explore what else might be available for you. How would you like to be functioning in different situations and environments? Are there areas where shifting your energy could be beneficial? Are there aspects of your business and life that are asking for more feminine energy?
